I said in my last OOTD post that I’ve tended to shy away from floral prints, but then this happened, y’all! I feel super kawaii today, and I really love how everything is working together here. I’d previously worried about wearing a head accessory without hair, but I like being bald and I like this headband, so fuck it. My favorite thing about this outfit, besides how super cute it is, is the repeating theme of studs. I’ve got them on my headband, on my tights, and on my shoes. How fun is that?
So I took a few photos, haha. I’m really diggin’ this outfit, though, so can you really blame me? Also, these tights, y’all. These. Tights. Right?
I got in my teal eye pencil yesterday, so I was eager to try on some teal brows. Mrs. Spookshow & I are having some friends over this evening, and that’s always the perfect excuse to dress up nice, so here we are. It’s been a while since my last twirling photos, and since that was really popular on here I decided to have another go at it in this set. Bonus points for managing to look directly into
your soul the camera on that one photo, amirite?
Last week I finally indulged myself and bought my first pair of Wolford tights. It was so worth it, y’all! If you’d like to read my review, head on over to my blog post at hisblackdress.com where I talk all about it. What’s your go to brand for hosiery?
It actually took me a while to figure out what to pair with this skirt, since it’s got a lot of vibrant colors going on. Mrs. Spookshow suggested a white top, and I just happened to have this one that I wanted to show you guys, so that’s how that all came together. The tights are a light green, though I was hoping for just a little bit more color from them. Ah, well. I still really dig this look. What do you think?
I missed a few days there, guys. Sorry about that! At least I’m back now with a fun outfit though, huh? Forgive me?
Mrs. Spookshow & I are having an early Thanksgiving gathering with friends & family today, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally wear this dress. Hopefully I’ll manage to be in more photos throughout today, include one with my friends Mr and Mrs. Claus! Yep, totally!
This is the hundredth outfit that I’ve posted, y’all. How cool is that? It’s so interesting to see how my style has evolved since my very first outfit post (link here). I’m looking forward to sharing another hundred outfits with you all! Oh, and this outfit is pretty rockin’, right?
Holy leg, Batman! I’m feeling really pretty today, and I’m really happy with how this look came together. Also, I think I love my hair today. Hurray for the prettys, right?

I received a lot of compliments on this outfit from my coworkers, though I did have one funny experience I want to share here. I was walking backstage with a friend while heading to the meeting. There’s always a lot of activity backstage, as I work for a major theme park, and while many of my fellow makeup department coworkers have been cool and supportive of me, that same sentiment doesn’t often extend to the myriad other departments on property. Anyways, as we were heading over to the meeting, there was a tech services guy driving a golf cart past us. As he drove up to us, I noticed him give me a very rude look and saw him mouth the words, “What the fuck?” and then I heard him say (rather loudly), “That’s fucked up!” He actually stopped as he passed us and just glared at me, very obviously. It’s not something I’m unused to, and I gave exactly zero fucks, but my friend turned to me and was like, “What just happened?” I laughed and said, “Yeah, welcome to walking next to a boy in a dress.” She gave me a quizzical yet sympathetic look and replied, “Yeah, I wasn’t sure that’s what that was. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn’t being a jerk but … wow.”
So this is totally a remix of a look from earlier this month, but hey, it was awesome and begging to be rocked again. How could I resist?

I’ve been interested in picking up a romper for a while now, and I liked the style of this one well enough, so I decided to give it a go. I don’t think I’m going to run out and fill my wardrobe with rompers, but this one is fun enough. What do you think, Tumblr?
