A few weeks ago, a reader here on Tumblr asked to see my take on business attire. It’s taken me a little bit (sorry for that!), but here we are. I’ve not had a job interview in over ten years, and I’ve never had a job that required me to wear professional attire, so it’s not something I’m used to. It was, however, a gap in my wardrobe that I wanted to fill, so here’s Mr. Spookshow business look. As always, check out my blog for more photos and info! Today I decided to remix a look from last year. This top is awesome, and it’s a crime that I haven’t worn it more. Hop on over and check out my blog post here for more about this outfit. I think this look turned out pretty fun, what do you think, Tumblr?
Riffing off of my last post (which was total dress up / costume, really), here’s the same look paired down a bit (read: minus tophat, corset, and props, haha). Mrs. Spookshow made me this skirt a long while ago but we both hated it when it was completed, so it got stuffed in the costume closet. I’ve been really jealous of all the awesome gothloli outfits I’ve been seeing on Tumblr recently, so I decided to pull it out now that I have a cute button down top that I felt could work with it. The awesome striped tights don’t hurt either though, eh? Man, I have been looking for those in my size for ages, ya’ll! This one’s mostly just for fun too, but I’m curious to know what everyone thinks of this look on Mr. Spookshow?

I’ve been feeling pretty inspired lately, so here’s a look that’s mostly just for fun. My earliest delves into sartorial self-expression involved gothic fashion, and I thought it would be fun to explore those roots again with this photoset. Lately I’ve really been crushing on gothloli fashion, though I’m unsure if it’s something I could actually do. Consider this a tip of the hat in that direction, though.

Decided to have some fun with today’s OOTD post! The new wet look skirt and nude heels seemed like a fun combo, and who doesn’t love skulls? Blue & gold is a favorite color combination of mine, so there’s that too. Oh yeah, and I decided to feature my daughter, Bridget, in this set. It’s hard to believe it’s been a little over four months since she came into our lives, and Mrs. Spookshow & I couldn’t be happier. Bridget is usually all smiles too, but she just had to photobomb daddy this go around. Ah, well, haha.

This outfit is pretty similar to an outfit I posted last week, but I decided to take photos of it anyhow. I really love this skater skirt, and I’m kinda addicted to these shoes too, haha. Decided to try this look with nude tights, which I don’t usually wear, and I kinda dig it. What do you think, Tumblr?

Discovered this top hidden in the depths of the closet, and got inspired to put this outfit together. My mom bought me these fishnet tights earlier this week, which I layered over black pantyhose here. I think the pattern mix between the top and tights actually works out pretty well, haha. I always have such a hard time sartorially this time of year, as I just don’t like summer styles, but I feel like this outfit is fun while still being fairly comfortable for the summer weather here. I’ve been watching entirely too much anime recently, and it’s kinda bled over into my fashion today. I bought these shoes for a cosplay I’m working on, and as I’m wearing them around today to work on breaking them in I thought I’d build an outfit around ‘em.
